How to make sea moss gel

Sea moss gel is a versatile and nutritious ingredient that is used in a variety of dishes and products, including smoothies, soups, and skincare products. Here's how you can make your own sea moss gel at home:


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of dried sea moss

  • 4 cups of water

  • A sweetener of your choice (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Soak the dried sea moss in water for 4-8 hours, or until it has rehydrated and become soft.

  2. Drain the water from the sea moss and rinse it thoroughly to remove any sand or debris.

  3. Place the rehydrated sea moss in a blender along with 4 cups of fresh water. Blend until smooth.

  4. If desired, add a sweetener of your choice, such as maple syrup or honey, to taste. Blend again until well combined.

  5. Pour the sea moss mixture into a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and resembles gel.

  6. Remove the sea moss gel from heat and let it cool completely.

  7. Once cooled, transfer the sea moss gel to a clean glass container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 weeks.
